Mobility Rules seems to be about much more than accessibility — it’s about people. Why is serving people so important to you personally?

My sweet momma had physical limitations, and I saw how a simple tub-to-shower conversion and a couple of grab bars brought her so much more ease and joy. My sister’s mental disability also opened my eyes to the truth that what you see isn’t always the full story. No one should ever feel marginalized because of a disability. At the heart of it all, people
matter deeply. That’s what drives me every single day.

What motivates you to continue this work every day?

The amazing people I’ve met along the way – their strength, smiles, and stories keep my curiosity and hope alive. As our population ages, the need for thoughtful, beautiful mobility features will only grow. I love that these features don’t just help those with disabilities — they make homes more comfortable and future-proof for everyone. To me, it’s not “special” — it’s simply included, and it can be designed with beauty and joy.

Can you share a story about someone whose life was positively impacted through Mobility Rules?

One story that still fills my heart with joy is about a kind woman I met early in this journey with contractor Dave Bearson. She had been living in her condo for over a year in a wheelchair. Her main bathroom wasn’t accessible, turning simple daily tasks into exhausting challenges.

When Dave showed her how her second bathroom could become a beautiful roll-in shower, her face lit up with hope. That moment restored dignity, freedom, and excitement for the future.

Through Mobility Rules and our growing network of Certified Mobility Consultants, we’re creating more of these life-changing connections every day, bringing together real estate professionals, contractors, mortgage experts, and others to help people live safely and happily in their own homes. Stories like hers are why I wake up every morning with curiosity and hope.

How has working with individuals facing mobility challenges changed your perspective on life?

It’s reminded me that none of us are immune. Disability can touch any life, at any time, including the people we love most.
I’m so grateful every day for the ability to move freely, travel, and explore with curiosity. That gratitude fuels my passion to help others experience the same freedom and joy in their own homes.

What do you hope people feel when they interact with Mobility Rules for the first time?

I hope they feel seen, valued, and genuinely hopeful. At the center of everything we do is one person — the individual who simply wants to live safely and independently in their own home. When that person is placed at the heart, something beautiful and powerful happens.
