She is a well-known speaker in the region, as well as an author of "Yes You Can", with Warren Bennis and the late Jim Rohn. As the caregiver for her (late)disabled husband, Julia understands firsthand the challenges of working with mobility devices and equipment. She is no stranger to the constant adaptation required to maintain maximum mobility for individuals with physical challenges. She writes and speaks to increase industry and public awareness on the issue of melding "green" and accessible/visitable housing, insisting that the real definition of "sustainable" housing and development needs to include accessiblity. Julia works with mobility issues in the workplace, and is active in the Homeless Community as an addictions counselor on a volunteer basis. She also volunteers with BigBrothers BigSisters as a "big sister" to "littles" with mobility issues. CMC since June 2007
