The CMC (Certified Mobility Consultant) Designation

Currently, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires specific standards for accommodations in public places, but not for most single-family residences. The Mobility Rules™ include ADA recommendations where possible as this is the commonly accepted standard. The ADA standards can be complex and many of the laws do not apply to residential real estate. The CMC course condenses hours of research into one comprehensive set of tests with information that you will find invaluable when dealing with mobility-related lifestyles.

Mobility Rules™ offer you insight into the special housing needs of those with limited mobility. These rules describe specific accessibility features for housing that accommodate a wide range of disabilities. Add the CMC designation to your professional references and you can offer expertise to your clients that will be appreciated and respected. The CMC designation is an annual Membership that offers you networking with others who may need your services.

The online CMC course consists of three prep quizzes, followed by the official CMC test. The cost is $199, paid in advance, with a 90 day period to complete the entire course. Each quiz must be completed with a passing score before moving on to the next quiz. When all three quizzes have been completed, the CMC test will be available. If you do not pass the CMC test the first time, you will be given additional opportunities to try again. You will have up to 90 days to complete the test.

Once you complete the CMC test with a passing score, your CMC Membership will be activated. You will receive an official certificate and CMC Pin by mail. Along with your Membership materials, we will also send you the Mobility Rules™ Top Ten ruler and the Top Ten Guidelines booklet. And as a CMC Member, you will be listed in the MobilityRules.com website.

Your CMC Membership is annual and you will be invited to renew on your anniversary. Funds from the CMC course help us to continue our educational programs and outreach. Live Training Classes
